A new ministry has been created to help the homeless in the Endicott area. OLGC and OLS (along with other volunteers) have formed the St. Veronica’s Stitchers to make blankets and sleeping bags for the homeless. Having discovered that there is a growing need for these items, they are asking for donations of men’s ties, blankets, old sleeping bags, curtains, top sheets and rectangular tablecloths for making the blankets/sleeping bags.
The Stitchers meet every Monday (except holidays) from 12:30 pm until 3:30 pm in the OLGC Father Hobbes Room. Anyone is welcome to join in. Contact Carol (607) 321-3604 or Diane on d2donahue@aol.com with questions.
